Hello all,
l bought my zippo a couple of days ago and opened it quickly now the flint wheel seems to be jammed. It was go up the way and spark but not light. But it will not go down the way. Does anyone have any ideas on how l could unjam the flint wheel to it can be pushed down again??

How can you unjam the flint wheel on a zippo

Usually a flint-wheel that wo not rotate is caused by a short flint that is jammed. I solve it by opening the lighter, unscrewing the flint screw on the bottom and carefully rolling the wheel until the fragment comes out.

Only once or twice in 30 years I've had to take a dental pick to work it out.
