i took the flint from my zippo and it wont spark how do i fix it

A new flint can never hurt.

Make sure you use genuine zippo flints though, others are too soft, too long and do not spark as well as the real thing. I've used both, now just on Genuine flints, they really are better.

Take it out again and turn it round. If that does'nt work, try to stop smoking.

Does it sort of 'catch', or does it spin? The flint should be right beneath the wheel, over the spring. If it 'catches' but does not turn smoothly, it might help to put the end back toward it that already has a groove worn into it.

Did you take the wheel out too? Some wheels are only designed to grind one way, as they have little 'scoops' out to do so. Try turning the wheel around so it grinds the other direction (turn it around) and reinsert it over the flint.

you didnt put it back right, it goes in through the bottem with the cotten.
