So let is just say for the sake of this question that you light it 3 times a day, 5 seconds each time.About how often would you need to refuel the zippo at this rate? about once a month?

Wow. that is almost an oxymoron regarding a Zippo in actual USE. a smoker would light it 15-25 times a day for 0.5-2 seconds !!
I am a Zippo user and have been for the last 29 years. I refill my Zippo every 18-21 days.

depends on how hot it is to cos the lighter fluid evaporates away if the zippo is hot for a long wile
