l just bought my first Zippo lighter, but l can not get the wheel to turn at all.Is there some trick to it that l do not know, or is there something wrong with the lighter itself?

Remove the flint and put it the other way round, it should start working

Check the flint. Either it is missing & you're trying to strike the metal spring or the spring it too tight.
Take the outer casing off. Find the screw on the bottom of the lighter. Unscrew & remove the spring. Tap the top of the lighter while turning the wheel. If it turns then check to see if a flint falls out of the hole. If nothing comes out, then go by some flints. Then replace the spring & screw making sure that u do not make it super tight.
