l have a zippo older than Ghandi that l just won off of ebay, my only problem is is that the wick is basically shot and worthless and l was wondering if anyone knew where l can get a new fuse.

Where can I buy a new wick for my zippo and am I supposed to replace it myself? If so, how?

Not sure why you'd want a lighter older than Ghandi, but if it is a Zippo, I'd bet that you could still send it back to them for a rebuild for free. All it would cost you is the postage to get it there. Back when I was smoking, and using Zippo is all the time, I owned one for 45 years, had it rebuilt several times, always for free. They guarantee them just like Craftsman guarantees their tools, for life.

u will have to find a tobacco or cigar shop good luck there r not that many anymore, to replace it u will have to remove the cotton, pull the old wick out & carefully put the new wick in through the bottom, make sure u push enough through to let u trim at least 1/4'' off the top, then when u repack the cotton make sure u weave the wick through it, in other words put some cotton in & push the wick to the front & put some more cotton in & push the wick to the back & repeat hope this helps.

Just go to a tobacco shop.. Some gas stations might even have them, I know they sell the flints.. Willing to bet they probably even come with instructions..

The tobacco shop might even put it in for you.

Good Luck

They should have these at a tobacco store. To replace: Take the cotton out of the bottom and it should go up thru the cylinder.
