Ive just bought a zippo lighter, and l think ive put too much lighter fluid in. when l light it, gas which has been sitting in the lid lights aswell! Should l leave it sitting out with lid open to vent some of the gas out?? HELP!!

u let it burn off ,just keep lightin it till it has burn off excess liquid. dont leave it open.

You can leave it sitting out with the top open, but put the thing out side when you do, it is a fire safety hazard otherwise.

Yes just put it out in the sun, it will evaporate some of the fluid away.

Yep. For about 10 minutes. The stuff evaporates pretty fast.
