how hot is the flame of a zippo lighter is it as hot as the flame from the turboflame lighters

The heat from a Zippo lighter is cooler than the flame produced from any butane fuel. The flame is hotter in the blueish colored portion of the flame & gets progressively cooler as u move away from the wick. Same with Butane.
As for how long the zippo will burn, it all depends on many factors. If the wick & packing r new, it will not last as long as a lighter that has had some break-in time. If the wick has been trimmed & extended on many occasions, it will not pick up all fuel from the packing material, also shortening burn time.
I would expect to get no more than one hour of burn time from a zippo lighter of the largest variety that u can carry in ur pocket. I have carried a zippo for three years, & can usually go approximately 5 days, lighting 25 cigarettes a day, without the need to refuel. Flints last about a month. Be careful not to overfill a zippo lighter to avoid a fire hazard, also the fluid burns if it leaks out into ur pocket & touches leg skin! When using a Bic brand butane lighter, I can usually light cigarettes & candles for a month or longer before it runs out.
A zippo is more of statement of class, & a piece of work to be proud of owning, especially if it was a gift. You can light ur way in dark spaces if the power goes out so u can find ur candles, something a cheapo butane lighter is not good at, because of the possabiltiy of burns/failure of plastic parts. Turboflame type lighters r not good light sources, but better at lighting damp kindling for camp fires

The heat of the flame is dependent on the type of fuel used and how long they burn is dependent on the size of the containing holding the fuel.
