When I was a youngster,(a long time ago), my friend is dad would fill his zippo with ''fuel oil(a fuel for heating his house).
It smoked a bit, but worked well once ignited.Tiki fuel is probably a little better refined than that oil,but not as well refined as actual lighter fluid. In addition, it may take a few more strikes of the flint to gain ignition.
