why when I replace the flint on a zippo does the wheel not turn? How do I remedy this??
answer 1 bad, answer 2 better, here is what I do:make sure old flint is gone, insert new flint, tighten screw to light tension, and turn wheel backwards once or twice. this removes the protective coating.
Ignore the other answer that will mess up your lighter. Here is what you do make sure old flint is out all the way some might be left inside. Then put the new flint in do not tighten the screw all the way only tighten as needed.
Run the wheel on cement to wear the flint down.
